CHA Marks National Craft Month

March is National Craft Month and this month aims to commemorate everything about crafting. The Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) said this is a great opportunity for craft retailers across the U.S. to offer exciting and fun craft activities for families and children who can enjoy the benefits of crafting.

B.I.G. album tops charts

If only Notorious B.I.G. was alive today, he could be relishing his album’s success on the Billboard charts. Sadly, only his fans and family can rave about this. What about? It’s the late Notorious B.I.G.’s “Greatest Hits” album topping The Billboard 200 charts (for the second week of March) and selling 99,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen Soundscan. This achievement is the rapper’s third chart-topper and his second posthumously. The “Greatest Hits” album features two unreleased tracks – “Running Your Mouth” and “Want That Old Thing Back.” What’s also great about this is that B.I.G.’s album was the strongest of the five debuts on The Billboard 200 top ten. Notorious B.I.G. was born Christopher Wallace and was murdered 10 years ago on March 9, 1997.

Get Your Kids To Sew

Teaching kids to sew, do embroidery and quilting provides many rewards. First, it develops sewing skills that they can carry on for a lifetime. Secondly, the craft boosts children’s self-esteem and their sense of accomplishment. Thirdly, it ensures a consumer base in the future. Cherished Teddies Marks 15 Years

The Cherished Teddies are distinct for having soulful black eyes and charming expressions. Originally, they were designed only by American artist and illustrator Priscilla Hillman. Today, Hillman works with her son Glenn to create every unique figurine. Each Cherished Teddie has its own personality and design meticulously crafted by the mother and son tandem. What’s more, each figurine carries a special name and title.
