March is National Craft Month and this month aims to commemorate everything about crafting. The Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) said this is a great opportunity for craft retailers across the U.S. to offer exciting and fun craft activities for families and children who can enjoy the benefits of crafting.
Engaging in crafts is fun, easy and can serve as an emotional outlet. It also helps reduce stress and boosts children’s self-esteem and learning skills.
During March of each year, craft retailers normally offer special classes, demonstrations, tips and projects to entice customers to get involved. There are also some stores that come up with a new craft theme every week of the month to promote the various crafting categories like home décor, needlecrafts, scrapbooking and kid’s crafts.
The Craft and Hobby Association says crafting is an effective way for families to get together, to show off their creativity and to have fun.
The National Craft Month, sponsored by the Hobby Industry Association (HIA), is a consumer awareness program aimed at putting more focus on crafts and the benefits that they bring.
