The Road Less Traveled

I’m not new to traveling and try to find new things to do and am always on the lookout for new experiences. That’s why whenever I travel someplace I try to stay away from the mainstream destinations and don’t use any typical travel guides. Instead I like either speaking to local people from where I’m going or speak to previous travelers who know the area and try to gain “inside” information on the destination and find the “road less traveled”.

But I recently discovered a great site which offers just the type of things I usually look for when I travel. The site realtravel.com is based on user submitted content and you can find great things to do and places to go based on other traveler’s past experiences. I find that the people who post on the site tend to offer great insight and don’t typically post the regular mainstream stuff.

The site also offers a great trip planner that allows you to add destinations to your trip and place all the information on an easily accessed page on the internet which you can then print out and take with you.

Dyeing Fiber With Kool Aid
Kool-aid is a safe, easy and fun way to dye wool yarn. It requires no specialized equipment, and is safe enough to do with small children. Since it's actually food dye, you can even use your kitchen utensils without fear of contamination.
