I’ve always known that everyone is different. This is especially true when it comes to parenting. There isn’t only one right away of bringing up children and running a home. I, for instance, have always been neat and orderly, and I always knew that when I had children it would have to stay the same way. After my first son was born, things pretty much stayed the same and I thought that everything was going great. Then came my second son, and my world turned upside down. Well, not completely, but I definitely had to change my perspective and my expectations. The house was not as neat as it used to be and the clothes were a little more wrinkled than I would have liked for them to be. It’s not easy bringing up kids and running a home, and as much as I find neatness important, raising polite and decent children is much more important.
I sympathize with Just Not Martha and I commend her for her honesty. Raising four boys so close in age cannot be easy. Housework sucks, there’s no other way of denying that. This blog also has Halloween recipes and blog contests & giveaways.
